 2001 Valsacro Rioja (Spain)
Rated: 91 pts by Wine Spectator – Plain and simple this is my new
favorite arrival at Tango. This way yummy Tempranillo has aromas
of blackberry, licorice (don’t let this fool you) cola, toast and
mineral flavors on a plush texture, with well-integrated tannins
and succulent acidity. A modern style, with lots of oak, but enough
fruit for balance. Drink now through 2011. There were only 3,000
cases made and not a whole lot left. The 6 pack cases are really
hot looking and are available at $120.00 per case, per bottle is
$24.95.
